This laundry hamper just had a brown cork top that I really liked already but a fellow dealer at the shop asked if I could crochet on the top and make it “psychedelic”. He sold it to me for a cheap price and I went home and proceeded to think about how to decorate it. I ended up taking piping or cording that you would typically use around a homemade pillow and crocheted around it. I tried to use a lot of my handspun yarn so that it would be really unique. I cut this pretty piece of fabric, ironed it and used spray adhesive to get it to stick and then put the crocheted cording around the fabric and used a staple gun to get that to stay on. The yarn is really bulky so it hides the staples well. And then I took a crocheted flower I had lying around and staples that on the top where my spray adhesive had bled through the fabric. Not exactly 100% crocheted but I think it’s alright!
“New and Improved Laundry Hamper « Musings of a dreamer” was in fact a remarkable blog post and also I
was in fact extremely glad to find it. Thanks a lot,Sam
