My husband and I have been fixing up old furniture to sell at a store here in Dallas. The store is called Lula B’s East in Deep Ellum here in Dallas,TX. Thought I would share some pics of the stuff we have been doing because quite frankly, I’m pretty darn proud of them!
First we have the china cabinet.

It was pretty boring before so I put wallpaper in the back for a touch of class–hard to see in the picture but it really is gorgeous wall paper! And then we painted, glazed and distressed the whole thing. Here is a bigger picture of the finished product:

The next is what I consider our masterpiece so far. This was a really cool art deco dresser with wood engravings that was so sad looking when I first saw it that I bought it just so I could make it shine again. This one took a really long time to sand down, stain, and make sturdy again. I buffed the wood engravings on the door with a dremel tool to get a little contrast from the rest of the dresser.

If you live in the Dallas area and haven’t checked out Lula B’s–I highly recommend it. There are probably over 100 vendors and we sell everything from vintage clothes to every thing vintage, antique and shabby chic! It’s been around for 20 something years and still running strong!
GORGEOUS cabinet!!
Thanks!
